Baby Daybook alternative: an honest comparison
Baby Daybook is a detailed tracker in 40 languages, but the free version has ads and family sync needs Premium. If you're looking for an alternative, Huckleberry, Nara Baby and Estrelu are worth a look. Estrelu is a web-based tracker with no ads, family sharing in every plan, offline logging and CSV export.

How we compared
The Estrelu team wrote this page. We make one of the apps in it, so we stuck to facts you can check: official websites, help pages, and App Store and Google Play listings. We checked everything on 04.10.2026. Store prices change, so confirm them in your store before buying.
We looked at:
- whether there are ads in the free version;
- what's free and what Premium costs;
- whether a partner or caregiver can log for free;
- whether you can export your logs as CSV;
- platforms and interface languages.
Where we couldn't confirm a fact on an official page, the table says "no data".

Baby Daybook
Good fit for: families who want a very detailed log, a wide choice of languages, and smartwatch apps on both Apple and Android.
Pros. The app is translated into 40 languages (App Store). It runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Android phones and Wear OS. One Premium subscription works on both Android and iOS and is shared between caregivers (Premium page). There's a one-time lifetime option and printable PDF reports.
Honest downside. The free version shows ads (Google Play). Family sync, sleep predictions, full timeline history, statistics and growth charts are Premium features. There's no direct CSV export: the Baby Daybook blog explains that backups are SQLite database files you convert yourself.
Price. On the US App Store: Premium Monthly $1.99 to $9.99, Premium Yearly $9.99 or $59.99, Premium Lifetime $59.99 or $99.99 (04.10.2026).

Huckleberry
Good fit for: English-speaking parents who mainly care about sleep and want SweetSpot predictions, expert sleep plans or an AI chat.
Pros. A generous free plan: logging for sleep, feeds, diapers, pumping, growth and medicine, sleep summaries, multiple children and sync with caregivers, all free (App Store). CSV export is built in (Help Center).
Honest downside. English only (Help Center). Nap predictions need Plus, and the AI chat and sleep plans need Premium, which costs more than most trackers.
Price. Plus $11.99 a month or $58.99 a year; Premium $14.99 a month or $119.99 a year (US App Store, 04.10.2026).

Nara Baby
Good fit for: families who want no ads, one price for every caregiver, and a lifetime purchase.
Pros. No ads and no extra tiers. One plan covers partners, grandparents and sitters, with unlimited children. CSV export is built in (Nara FAQ).
Honest downside. After the 7-day trial you can view and export your data, but you can't add new entries without paying (Nara FAQ). The App Store lists English as the only language.
Price. $9.99 a month or $99.99 lifetime (Nara FAQ, 04.10.2026).

Estrelu
Good fit for: parents who want quick logging at night, family sharing without upsells, and a tracker that doesn't need an app store.
Pros. Estrelu runs in your phone's browser and installs to your home screen, no App Store or Google Play needed. After the first open it works offline. Every plan includes everything: family sharing by invite code, up to 4 children, a nap forecast shown as a range with a confidence level, a doctor visit summary, and white noise. A "for all" mode copies shared logs like feeds and diapers to each twin. No ads, no third-party trackers, export to CSV or JSON.
Honest downside. No App Store or Google Play app, so no widgets and no watch app. Four languages, not forty: English, Russian, Portuguese and Spanish. No experts, no AI assistant. No free plan: after the 5-day trial, access pauses until you pay, though your logs stay safe and exportable. Estrelu is new and has no reviews yet.
Price. $4.99 a month, $44.99 a year (about $3.75 a month) or $79 once. No card needed for the trial.

When Estrelu isn't the right fit
- You need a smartwatch app or home screen widgets. Baby Daybook supports Apple Watch and Wear OS.
- You need a language other than English, Russian, Portuguese or Spanish. Baby Daybook covers 40.
- You want to keep tracking for free. Baby Daybook and Huckleberry have free plans.
- You want an app with a long track record. Estrelu is just launching.
How to move your logs to Estrelu
Estrelu imports CSV files. It recognizes column names in four languages, and importing the same file twice won't create duplicates. We can't promise a perfect match with every app's format, so check a few days of entries afterward.
From Baby Daybook. There's no one-tap CSV export. Go to Backup & Restore and create a backup. This saves an SQLite database file. Open it with an SQLite browser app or online tool and export the tables as CSV, as described on the Baby Daybook blog. Then import the CSV into Estrelu. This takes some care, so keep the original backup.
From Huckleberry. Tap the child profile icon and choose "Export tracking data as CSV". You'll get an email link that works for 24 hours (Help Center). More details on our Huckleberry alternative page.
From Nara Baby. On the Activity screen, tap the avatar next to your child's name, then Export Data (Nara FAQ).
If you have twins, see how Estrelu handles two babies at once. To share the day with a nanny, look at the caregiver handoff.
Estrelu is not a medical device. It doesn't diagnose, calculate medicine doses or replace your doctor. If you're worried about your baby's sleep, feeding or health, talk to your pediatrician.
