Pumping Log App and Postpartum Mood Tracker
Estrelu's pumping log app and postpartum mood tracker live together in one section, "Looking after you." Log each pumping session with the amount in ml or oz and the side. Rate your mood from 1 to 5 with a single tap. It's for parents who track everything about the baby and want one small place to check in on themselves.

Three in the morning, pump running
The baby is finally asleep and the pump is humming. You can't remember how much you got last time, or which side you started on. Someone asked how you're doing today and you said "fine" without thinking. "Looking after you" takes a few seconds for both questions.
How the pumping and mood log works
- Open "Looking after you." Mood check-ins and "Pumping" sit side by side.
- Log a pumping session. Enter the amount in ml or oz and pick the side. The entry saves to your phone right away, even with no signal.
- Rate your mood. One tap, a score from 1 to 5. No need to explain anything.
- Let Estrelu keep watch on the pattern. If three days in a row are hard, it gently suggests reaching out for help. No diagnoses, no blame.
- Share the picture with your family. Once you're back online, pumping entries sync and your family can see them.
Breastfeeds and bottles go in the baby feeding tracker. To bring a partner or grandparent into the same log, see twins and siblings, or browse all features.

What it's based on and what it doesn't do
Mood changes after birth are common. The WHO reports that about 13% of women who have just given birth experience a mental disorder, most often depression. The WHO also states that maternal mental disorders are treatable. So Estrelu doesn't try to judge how you're doing. It just reminds you that help exists.
What "Looking after you" does not do:
- It does not diagnose or tell you what's "normal."
- It does not replace your doctor or give medical advice.
- It does not tell you how much milk you "should" pump or compare you to anyone.
- It does not scold you for skipped days.
When to get help
Talk to your doctor or midwife if you notice signs like the ones the NHS lists. These include low mood, finding it hard to enjoy anything, or feeling hopeless. Others are feeling guilty or worthless, anxious all the time, or having trouble sleeping even when you get time to rest. The NHS says to get help even if you only have some of the signs. Feeling down, anxious or irritable for a few days after birth is very common and usually goes away within 2 weeks, per the NHS. If it lasts longer, bring it up with your doctor.
If you have thoughts of harming yourself or your baby, treat it as an emergency. In the US, call 911. You can also call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Outside the US, call your local emergency number.
Estrelu is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, calculate doses or replace your doctor.
