White Noise App for Baby That Works Offline
Estrelu includes a white noise app for your baby that works offline. Choose from 7 sounds with a timer, and they keep playing with no internet. The same evening toolkit has a cry timer with step-by-step ideas, colic notes, your bedtime routine and a night-light clock. It runs in your browser, with no app store and no ads.

Bedtime when nothing is working
It's late, your baby is crying, and you've already tried feeding, rocking and a fresh diaper. Your brain goes blank on what to try next. You reach for white noise, and the streaming app wants to play an ad or the Wi-Fi drops. Estrelu keeps the sounds on your phone and keeps a list of what to try, in order.
How the bedtime tools work
- Start white noise. Pick one of 7 noise types and set a timer. Sounds play offline.
- Tap "Crying." A cry timer starts, and Estrelu suggests, one at a time, things you can try.
- Check "Colic and crying." See what has helped your baby on past evenings, from your own notes.
- Follow your routine. "Bedtime ritual" holds your own bedtime steps in order, so anyone putting the baby down does the same thing.
- Set the night-light clock. Your phone by the crib shows the moon, and at a time you set a sun "wakes up." You can add a quiet chime as a simple signal that morning has come.

What it's based on and what it doesn't do
The NHS describes colic as when a baby cries a lot but there's no obvious cause, and notes it usually gets better by 3 to 4 months (NHS). Estrelu's cry timer and colic notes help you keep track of what's happening and what has helped. They don't explain why your baby is crying.
If you do use noise machines in your baby's room, experts suggest that you place them more than 200 centimeters from the crib and keep the volume low.
What Estrelu does not do:
- It does not diagnose colic, reflux or any other cause of crying.
- It does not detect crying or monitor your baby. It's not a baby monitor.
- It does not connect to smart speakers or sound machines.
Keep your phone out of the crib. The AAP advises a sleep space free of pillows, blankets, bumpers and toys (AAP). Place the phone at a distance and keep the volume low.
A good bedtime often starts with good timing. The baby sleep tracker predicts the next sleep window, and the wake window calculator shows typical ranges by age. If evenings get harder during teething, mark an off day.
When to call your pediatrician
The NHS advises getting medical help if you're worried about your baby's crying, if soothing doesn't help, if you're struggling to cope, or if your baby isn't gaining weight. Get urgent help if the cry sounds weak, high-pitched or different from your baby's usual cry (NHS). In the US, call your pediatrician, or 911 in an emergency.
Estrelu is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, calculate doses or replace advice from your doctor.
